This week’s edition examines the new migration restrictions enacted by the Trump administration, which places Cuba on a list of countries facing severe limitations on visa issuance to enter the United States. The decision is expected to affect thousands of Cuban nationals, particularly students, tourists, business travelers, and asylum seekers.
We also feature a special section on the wave of university protests sparked by ETECSA’s recent internet rate hikes. Students from at least 25 faculties across Cuba have voiced strong opposition to the measure, resulting in a mobilization notable for its unprecedented scale and coordination.
