CUBA REVIEW: As Trump isolates U.S. from Cuba, Russia steps back in

These past two weeks saw Trump’s “maximum pressure” policy toward Cuba and Venezuela continue to falter as Russia strengthened its commitment to help both countries weather U.S. sanctions. Also, an article in El Paso Times highlighted the absurdity of both U.S. immigration policy and Cuba’s sclerotic economy, by reporting on Cuban migrants stuck in Juárez, Mexico who are boosting the local economy by launching businesses and creating jobs with funds sent by their relatives in the United States.
