CUBA REVIEW: Cuba Reopens to World with Repression in Full Display

The Cuban government deployed security forces to prevent the 15N nationwide march on the same day the country was set to reopen all international travel and return to “normality.” This forced the march’s lead organizer to exile in Spain. Coincidently, it was also on the same week that “Patria y Vida” won the Latin Grammy for Song of the Year, shining an even broader spotlight on the sorry state of human rights on the island.
