Since 1991, the FIU Cuba Poll has tracked the views of Cuban Americans in South Florida, making it the longest-running research project of its kind. Directed by Guillermo J. Grenier and Qing Lai, this edition is based on a probability sample of 1,004 Cuban American adults, interviewed by landline and cell phone in English and Spanish (62.9% of interviews were conducted in Spanish).
Results are weighted by gender, age, place of birth and year of migration to match the American Community Survey. For yes-or-no questions answered by all respondents, the maximum margin of error is ±3.1 percentage points at the 95% confidence level, after accounting for weighting.
